In June, 1946, in Yaroslavl there was established GLAVKAUCHUK pilot plant with R&D department.
Its main purpose was to develop the new commercial methods of monomers for synthetic rubber production
within the shortest possible time. In August, 1958, the pilot plant was reorganized in the leading research
institute of monomers for synthetic rubber (NIIMSK), today – JSC RI “YARSINTEZ”.
At present “Yarsintez” is a multi-skilled company which carries
out R & D and their implementation in industry.
The efficiency of researches performed by Yarsintez’ s specialists is provided due to the
possibility to carry out the extended catalyst tests and chemical processes at the semi-commercial plant of JSC RI “Yarsintez”.
The experience of many years in the development of catalysts and new technologies allows JSC RI “Yarsintez”
to be one of the leaders in the field of its scientific and industrial interests and collaborate successfully with foreign engineering and chemical companies.
JSC RI "Yarsintez" is also a licensor of a number of economical, environmenatal catalytic chemical technologies and a supplier of
catalysts for isobutylene, propylene, styrene, methyl-tert-butyl ether, butyl rubber production technologies.

The majority of synthetic rubber plants
of Russia and CIS is use the processes developed at JSC RI Yarsintez.
Over 120 developments of “YARSINTEZ” are implemented in industry. The large-scale productions of butadiene,
isoprene, styrene, isobutylene, methyl-tert-butyl ether, butyl rubber, styrene rubbers, synthetic and artificial
latexes are among them. Along with new technologies development “YARSINTEZ” produces various chemical products
and render wide range of scientific and technical services to companies and enterprises.
